We got wood!!!

Well people we got some wood finally!!! This picture was taken on Monday they had it ready to pour the foundation.



Then we went back on Thursday and they had poured the foundation and had all the wood delivered and ready for framing.


That is a lot of wood!!

They started framing on Friday morning and by Friday afternoon this is what they had done. Crazy how fast these guys work!!

Then I went back over there today (saturday) because Nathan was playing golf with some buddies from work. I was there about 1p.m. and Nathan and I went back at 7:30p.m. tonight to see more progress. I feel like we have to go everyday or we might miss something as fast as these chiquito's are working!!!

This was tonight. We can actually go in the house now!!

This is all the A-framing for the roof!! I think that they will probably have the framing done by Monday!!

The next step...

Here is the next step in the build!! We have a little bit of a frame. Nathan is having his pre-construction meeting on Monday and they will go over all the details. All next week they should pour the foundation and frame the whole house. They frame the house in 4 days which is crazy! There will be lots of pics coming up in a week.

I am standing on the front porch there!!! Can't wait to sit our there!!

Design Gallery

This was the funniest day ever!!! We cannot even believe that we are going to have a house like this. We are so blessed to be getting such an amazing house at our age. I am so thankful for everything that God has given Nathan and I. So we went to the design gallery for McCar Homes. This is a national builder and they have a local design gallery that we were able to pick every single option in the house. I took a couple of pictures so that every one could get a preview of some of our options. It is hard to really tell in pictures but at least you can see. I am trying to let everyone in on this journey in our lives. This is kind of my own personal diary!

(Left)This is the cabinet color along with the granite and the tile that we picked for the master bath floor and shower. We will have hardwood floors throughout the main floor except our family room. I really like having carpet in the family room. It makes it more cozy. (Middle) This is our hardwood floors and our carpet. Like I said pictures don't do justice. That carpet is the shaggy that is in style now. Its cool!! (Right) We could upgrade to paint the whole house one color, the ceiling will be white and all the trim. That is a neutral khaki color and will be awesome that the house will all be painted because then we don't have to paint anything right away.

(Left) This is our tile with the accent in the master bath shower. (Middle & Right) This is some of the hardware in the Master Bath. We loved that bronze, darker faucets and shower head.

This is the hardware that will go in the master bath also. Then this is the tile backsplash in the kitchen and also our stove. All of the appliances are stainless steel and they have the black accents too. They are really nice appliances GE.

This is the tile that will go around the fireplace. It is called something and I forget, but the sign now has under contract. They should start boxing the foundation and framing in about 2-3 weeks and then that is proably the next picture we will have of our new home. We will keep everyone posted and if you get sick of hearing all the updates sorry get over it (JK):) . We're just excited and wanted to share!! God loves you!!

My Letters

Jason and Beckie are our friends that live here in Greenville. Nathan and Jason knew each other in Ohio when they were kids. It was just a coincidence that they lived here. Jason and Beckie just adopted a baby. They named her Elizabeth and are going to call her Lizzy. I wanted to make them something special. I am into crafts, so I decided to make these letters. I thought that they turned out darling.
